Q: What is Mink Virgin Hair? Is it human hair?
Yes – all hair sold at HauseOfAmara is 100% human hair.
Our Mink Virgin Hair is a high grade of virgin human hair known for its softness, silkiness, and natural shine. The term “mink” does NOT refer to animal mink hair; rather, it is a descriptive term used in the hair industry to highlight the luxurious lustre and smooth texture of the hair, much like the softness associated with mink fur.
We also have Laos hair , Indian hair, Indonesian hair and higher quality premium virgin hair avaliable to purchase.
Q: How long does your hair last?
With proper care and maintenance, our mink virgin hair can last
1 - 2 years or even longer.
Loas hair can last up to 3-5 years
Indian hair 3-5 years
Indonesian hair up to 2 years .
The better you care for the hair through gentle handling, regular washes, and minimal heat or chemical processing, the longer it will retain its quality, softness, and longevity.
Q: Are the bundles single drawn?
Yes we supply both single and double drawn hair , please check descriptions for each product. We carefully select our manufacturing partners to ensure our products are high quality and a fair value.
Q: How much does one bundle weigh, and how many bundles do I need for a full head?
A: All our bundles weigh 100g, regardless of length or texture.
This means longer lengths have less density per bundle, so we recommend adding an extra bundle for fuller results, especially for lengths 24” and above.
Here’s our general guide:
• 12–14”: 2 bundles for a natural look, 3 for extra fullness
• 16–22”: 3 bundles for a full look (add a 4th if you prefer more volume)
• 24–30”: Minimum of 4 bundles; consider a 5th for added fullness, especially for 30"-34”
Feel free to add more or less hair depending on your desired volume and budget!
Q: Can I bleach or colour the bundles?
Yes, our virgin hair can be safely bleached or coloured. However, please note that it can lift up to colour #27 (honey blonde). As this is NOT raw hair, it cannot be lightened to a #613 (platinum blonde).
Please choose our *higher quality* virgin hair if you wish to bleach your hair.
To preserve the integrity and lifespan of the hair, we recommend avoiding excessive chemical processing, as it can weaken the strands and lead to increased shedding or tangling, particularly around the weft area.
DO NOT over process the hair! This will lead to excessive damage to the hair strands.
For optimal results and minimal damage, we advise having the hair coloured by a professional.
q: Can I straighten the curly bundles? Will they revert back to their natural curl pattern?
Absolutely! Our curly hair can be straightened, but we strongly recommend using a high-quality heat protectant and avoiding high heat settings to prevent damage. Because this is human hair, it can be affected by heat just like our natural hair.
Excessive heat or frequent styling may loosen the curl pattern over time.
To maintain the integrity of the curls:
• Use a GOOD heat protectant (Brands: fantasia , chi, amika , design essentials)
• Limit the number of passes with the straightener
• Avoid using maximum heat settings
With proper care, the hair should revert back to its natural curl pattern after washing.
However, repeated heat styling may gradually alter the curls.
Q: How long will it take for my hair to arrive?

q: Why does isn't my bundles black or all the same colour?
Please note that all bundles and lace systems may have slight colour variations, as our hair is completely natural and has not been dyed. Since the hair is sourced from different donors, subtle differences in shades may occur, including medium brown, dark brown, and 1B natural black.
If you would like to achieve a jet black colour, we recommend using Creme of Nature Jet Black. This product works exceptionally well with our hair and is not drying at all.
